SAT-7 UK is a strategic charity working to see a growing Church in the Middle East and North Africa, confident in Christian faith and witness, serving the community and contributing to the good of society and culture.
SAT-7 UK has grown rapidly in terms of volume of activity and complexity. We are looking for an experienced fundraising manager to join the team.
The role of the Development Manager is to develop the strategy and deliver all fundraising activities for SAT-7 UK. The role reports to the Director of External Engagement and has particular responsibility for fundraising from individuals, groups and grant-making bodies
The Development Manager will lead a team with primary responsibility for two core areas:
- Deepening engagement and fundraising from Individuals (with oversight but not direct management responsibility for high level donors), including supporter care, direct mail & appeals, supporter acquisition & retention, SAT-7 events including the bi-annual supporter day, external conferences, fundraising campaigns incl. advertising, sponsored events & planned giving.
- Fundraising from grant making bodies including research, proposal preparation, reporting and, where appropriate, relationship management.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative, innovative fundraiser to develop new income streams and deepen supporter engagement.
Candidates should have prior experience of achieving fundraising goals and in managing successful multichannel, direct marketing campaigns (particularly with individuals). We are looking for a strong manager, with excellent communication skills, who will enjoy the challenge of working in a growing team.
There is an Occupational Requirement, in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010, for this role to be filled by a committed Christian.
The role will be based in our Chippenham office. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, with a valid visa and work permit already in place if required.

Hours: up to 37.5 hours / week (part time and flexible working considered)
Salary: £24,000 to £30,000 pro rata
Annual Leave: 25 days pro rata
