When bombs, fear and destruction are all you know…
Please bring joy to Syrian children this Christmas
We knew our children’s TV show was popular in Syria. We’d heard that, throughout the war, children crowded round televisions to tune in as often as they could. But, until our presenter, Mina, visited Syria, we had no idea just how much this show was changing lives.
Children are not only finding joy through SAT-7 TV; they are turning to Jesus. The laughter and fun of our shows brought moments of joy in a bleak world. For many, SAT-7 TV became a lifeline.
He was born in a war, and violence overshadows his childhood. Please, will you bring life-changing moments of joy to more like him?
When Mina, presenter of a children’s show called Family of Jesus, went to Syria with his team, he visited three churches and met with 1,000 children. He couldn’t believe what he discovered:
Churches are crowded with new believers! What’s happening in Syria is exceptional. The children are so thirsty and hungry for the word of God.”

One little boy, Jameel, told Mina of his terrifying escape from Aleppo, and added, “But I didn’t fear, because Jesus was with me.” Jameel said:
There were missiles after midnight. As we fled, snipers were attacking civilians. But we prayed and told the driver to go fast. Thank God, we were safe.”
Doesn’t it take your breath away? With quality Christian TV broadcast into the heart of the family home, these children get to tell a different story. They choose joy, not despair.
This Christmas, please will you help to bring life-changing moments of joy to more children like Jameel and Ibrahim?
