"I don't go to church as it's too dangerous"
No choice but to flee
Pressure to renounce Jesus
Adel lived in Syria where he was led to Christ by a friend. His family despised his new-found faith and soon began trying to force him to renounce Jesus. Adel stood firm but the pressure mounted to such an extent that he felt he had no choice but flee.
He went to neighbouring Lebanon with nothing but the clothes on his back.
“I slept in the streets for three days,” Adel said.
God miraculously provided him with a job and a room with other Syrian refugees. But when Adel’s housemates realised he was a Christian the persecution started again.
Please pray for me
“I had a glass smashed over my head and needed 26 stitches,” he said. “I then moved to a dormitory where an Iraqi Christian friend lived but there a Saudi man tried to stab us. Praise God, we were not harmed. We prayed that the Lord would open the man’s eyes to him.”
Adel watches SAT-7 whenever he can. The Bible teaching gives him strength and hope.
He told us, “I continually pray to the Lord but I don’t go to church as it’s too dangerous. Please pray for me.”
Pray for persecuted Christians
Pray for believers who are persecuted and have little opportunity to meet with other Christians, that watching SAT-7 will provide the spiritual strength and encouragement they need to face each day’s challenges.
If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honoured, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.
