Getting to Envision 2016
St Aldate’s Church, Oxford OX1 1BT
Envision is being held at St Aldate’s Church which is situated in the centre of Oxford on the junction of St Aldate’s and Pembroke Street and opposite Christ Church Cathedral.
By car:
There are five Park and Ride sites on the ring road which operate frequent buses into the city centre. The best Park and Ride car parks to use are Redbridge P&R (from the South) and Peartree P&R (from the North). Both of these P&R car parks have the 300 bus service, which stops closest to St Aldate’s.

The church is opposite Christ Church Cathedral.
St Aldate’s does not have its own car park. If you wish to drive into the city the closest car park to St Aldate’s is Oxpens Car Park OX1 1RQ, located on Oxpens Road next to Oxford Ice Rink. It can be accessed from the south via Abingdon Road, Thames Street and Oxpens Road; from the north via Hythe Bridge Street and Oxpens Road; from the west via Botley Road and Oxpens Road. Further information about car parking is available here.
Please note: the multi-storey car park of the Westgate Centre is currently closed for a major re-development. Parking in central Oxford is limited and an expensive option. There are very few disabled parking spaces in the City Centre.
Osney Lane car park is open from 7am – 7pm, and costs £7 for the day. Please don’t confuse this with Osney Mead car park, which is over £20 for the day.
By train:
Travel to Oxford railway station (NOT OXFORD PARKWAY). From there you can catch a bus from outside the station. X3 and 4(ABC) all go to St Aldates.
Otherwise it is about 10-15 mins walk from the station to the church. Turn left out of the station car park onto a busy main road. Cross the road and take the road ahead and to the right — Park End Street. Continue along this road, going straight onto New Road at some traffic lights. At the top of the hill go straight into Queen Street (no cars but lots of buses). Turn right into St Ebbe’s Street and left into Pembroke Street. The main entrance to the church is at the junction of Pembroke Street and St Aldate’s.
