Welcome to 7 Reasons to Pray for the Middle East, a new resource for you and your church.
This resource pack tackles questions and challenges around prayer head on – providing helpful scriptural guidance on prayer and assurance that prayer really does make a difference.
Here, you’ll find all the resources you need to host a “7 Reasons to Pray” event in your church, small group or prayer meeting. It includes a 25-minute talk outlining the 7 reasons to pray (to either present yourself or play as a video), followed by a time of reflection and prayer. The event is fully customisable for your own setting and time frame.
We hope that this resource will inspire you and your church or small group as you cultivate prayerfulness and remember believers across the Middle East and North Africa.

Event Script
This is the full script for the “7 reasons to pray” presentation, lasting approximately 25 minutes. It also includes ideas for further reflection and prayer.
Powerpoint Slides
These slides accompany the talk above, including Bible verses and testimonies, as well as a blank slide to add your own prayer points.
The slides are available as a PowerPoint presentation, or as image files.

PRINTABLE MAP
This map of the Middle East and North Africa can be printed out as a visual aid for prayer. During the time of reflection and prayer, participants can colour in the map and write their own prayers across the region.
VIDEO
This is a video version of the 7 Reasons to Pray talk, hosted by SAT-7’s Emily Shurmer (approximately 20 minutes). It outlines the seven ways to pray, including Bible verses and testimonies. This is ideal for playing in a home group setting, in which you can pause to discuss or reflect.
