Lord God, You said, 'Out of Egypt I called my Son' (Hosea 11:1). We lift a prayer for this country where Your Son took His first steps as a child, travelled along the river Nile, and lived among its people.
We ask You to touch the minds and hearts of its people so when they hear Your word, they become the fertile soil that brings forth 'some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown.' (Mark 4:20). We ask that the Holy Spirit quench every thirst for Your abounding love. Amen”
Verse of the day
"Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop—some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown. He said to them, “Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand? For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear."
MARK 4:20-24
