News & Prayer Live 8 June resources! 

Thank you to those of you who joined us for our News & Prayer Live event on Wednesday 8 June!

We were joined by Samia and Salah Kessai, SAT-7 producers in Algeria, who shared about the situation for Christians in Algeria, where 17 churches have been closed by the authorities, and how SAT-7 broadcasts are encouraging the small – but growing – Christian community. Samia shared how in 2008 there were only 1,000 Christians in Algeria & today there are around 200,000. We give thanks and praise God for this!

We also heard from SAT-7 Arabic Channels Director, George Makeen, who explained more about the wider situation across North Africa and especially how SAT-7’s new production team in Tunisia is making an impact there.

Both shared inspiring testimonies of how the Church is growing despite much hardship and the difference SAT-7 is making in supporting Christians and the Church in the region.
