Christmas of Peace, a fundraising event organised by SAT-7, promotes peace and encourages the spirit of unity in Lebanon through a musical journey of traditional and festive songs.
Lebanon’s leading acapella choral group, comprised of 50 singers from many different backgrounds, will perform at Christmas of Peace, organised by SAT-7. The event is sponsored by key business and community leaders and will be broadcasted live on SAT-7 ARABIC on 22 December 2016.
REINFORCING PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE
The SAT-7 Lebanon office seized the opportunity to organise Christmas of Peace, reinforcing unity and peaceful values within Lebanon’s many diverse communities over the festive season.
Executive Director of SAT-7 Lebanon Maroun Bou Rached, the key organiser of the fundraising event, says:
“As the region’s leading Christian Satellite Television, SAT-7 has always been committed to making God’s Love Visible. This Christmas will mark a significant milestone for conveying SAT-7’s ethos. With our remarkable presence in several communities, the Christmas of Peace recital will mainly address the people of Lebanon, from all backgrounds and ethnicities, and carry a message of peace, tolerance, and coexistence.”
Coexistence and unity have been at the core of the event from its very inception. Bou Rached comments:
“Participants of the performing choir were chosen to convey the spirit of unity. Fayha Choir brings together more than 50 singers from different backgrounds and ethnicities, conducted by the Armenian Maestro, Barkev Taslakian.”
