Following the alarming advance of so called Islamic State (IS), the children and youth of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) are facing a tremendous crisis. Over 13 million children (40% of the school-age children from Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, and Sudan) in the region cannot go to school because of conflict.
Cry Freedom is a youth program that presents values including freedom, personal responsibility and the sanctity of life in light of biblical teaching. Each episode includes participants from countries across North Africa, each speaking in a different Arabic dialect, which helps to emphasise the universal nature of the truths being presented.
This programme confront controversial issues in which North African women often remain voiceless. The programme is in Arabic with Kabyle subtitles, making it accessible to different communities spread throughout Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Mauritania and Libya.
